Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries, catalytic converter and vehicle thefts reported between the 23rd April 2026 to 30th April 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough.
Car Crime This week there have been 3 reports of theft from cars and 0 reports of attempts to gain access to vehicles. Arrests. There were 45 arrests in the period April 23rd 2026 to April 29th 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 11, Rape/Sexual Offence 5, Drugs 2, Prescribed Limit 1, Violent Crime in a Public Place 4, Violent Crime Other 3, Crime Public Order 2, Harassment/Stalking 1, Child Protection 2, Master Occurrence 2*, Robbery 1, Theft 1, Immigration 1, Residential Burglary 1, Road Related 1, Custody Issue 2, Absconder/Wanted 1, Breach of Community Protection Order 1, None of these 3. *A Master Occurrence is used when recording an arrest where a number of offences are recorded for one incident.

Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there has been Two report of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. Including a suspect trying to pay with false currency and an illegal subletting of a residential property.
Burglaries North 23/04/2026 Between 08:45 to 17:40. Cleave Prior, Chipstead. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry through a rear window to the property. Stolen: Including a Watch and Cigarettes. (PR 45260047201) 28/04/2026 04:05. Buckland Road, Lower Kingswood. Attempted Residential Garage Burglary. Method of Entry – Attempted forced entry through the garage door. Suspects left when disturbed by a neighbour. Stolen: Nothing Taken. (PR 45260048752)
